Scalable Robotics was founded on the idea that industrial robots are tools that should be available to automate any batch size, not just mass production. Many industries face labor shortages, and many people are put in harm’s way because it is too difficult or costly to program a robot. Our point and click teaching platform enables a skilled worker to intuitively show the robot where the work needs to be done. As a result, a robust, high-quality program is automatically created for any production batch size without the need for CAD, or any additional programming knowledge. We launched our first product, called ScalableArc™, to address the $7B arc welding market which has a severe and growing labor shortage. With ScalableArc™, a welder with no prior robotics or programming experience can learn to create complex, production-quality welding programs in one day. Additionally, part programming times are reduced by >10x. These benefits give our customers a clear ROI for large or small batch sizes. Our simple teaching platform is easily adaptable to other complex robotic processes such as plasma cutting, grinding, painting, gluing, dispensing, finishing, and deburring.
