Wheeling High School

The Wheeling High School Technology Department offers a dynamic, hands-on learning environment where students explore engineering, manufacturing, robotics, and construction through real-world projects and industry-standard equipment. The department features a strong focus on robotics, with students programming and operating ABB industrial robots like the IRB1200 and CRB15000 (Gofa), participating in competitions such as Robot Rumble and VEX IQ Battlebots, and designing autonomous systems using advanced programming and automation techniques. Students also gain experience with CNC machines, 3D printers, and industry-grade tools, developing technical and problem-solving skills essential for careers in robotics, engineering, and advanced manufacturing. Through a blend of technical expertise, creative design, and teamwork, the program prepares students for success in college, trade schools, and the workforce.
