We have been perfecting this technology for over a decade and use it in many of our actuator designs. It has many advantages; lighter weight, lower cost, smaller package, optimal bearing placement and the added machinability of aluminum over the steel alternative. Precision tolerances in straightness and flatness are on-par with precision profile rail using the same type of grinding equipment. Grinding the rail into the actuator body provides higher precision over a two-part rail and body assembly.
