Piaggio Fast Forward (PFF) is a Boston-based robotics company founded in 2015 by Piaggio Group, the Italian manufacturer and creator of the iconic Vespa scooter. PFF creates proprietary in-house technology that combines human behavior with semi-autonomous material handling platforms designed to follow and operate at pedestrian speeds. PFF’s latest innovation, PFF kilo™ is a Collaborative Mobile Robot (CMR) adaptable to environments and applications where full automation poses limitations and semi autonomy is a requirement. - the unit can follow an operator, move autonomously through recorded routes, and travel along more than 100 recorded and stored paths. PFF kilo™ is designed to augment human performance and work alongside humans in chaotic environments, enabling users to move materials naturally whilst simultaneously reducing the risk of injuries.
