SafetySight Iridio, the innovative safety camera taking industrial protection to a new level

Pizzato is proud to present SafetySight Iridio, the innovative safety camera that redefines protection standards in the industrial sector.

A solution that integrates visual technology and advanced safety levels aimed at protecting operators inside hazardous areas enclosed by guards, preventing unexpected re-start of machinery by other members of personnel. 

The SafetySight Iridio safety camera is designed for safety levels up to SIL 2 acc. to IEC 61508 and PL d, cat. 3 acc. to ISO 13849-1. This makes the device suitable for the majority of industrial applications.

SafetySight Iridio revolutionises access control through monitoring of the protected area.

Following a request to restart the machine, the safety camera performs an automatic check of the area, detecting any operator motion before machinery start-up.

This function reduces the risk of an operator in the danger area being involved in an accident caused by unexpected restart of the machine by other operators, guaranteeing a higher level of protection than traditional mechanical lock-out systems.

The safety camera has a front-mounted RGB LED ensuring immediate communication of the device's operating status. The RGB LED offers a quick visual check without the need for diagnostic tools, as it lights up in different colours according to the various operating modes.

This enables operators and maintenance personnel to immediately verify the correct functioning of the system, facilitating operations and resolution of any anomalies.

Each SafetySight Iridio contains a complete safety device that interfaces with the rest of the system via digital outputs. This means there is no need for a dedicated control device in the switching cabinet. Another advantage is the possibility of connecting a SafetySight Iridio device directly to any safety controller compatible with OSSD signals, reducing costs and installation complexity.

Dedicated Iridio Studio software has been designed for configuration and calibration of the device, guiding the user through the entire process in a few minutes.

Using the Iridio Studio software, it is possible to visually check the monitored area, identifying and masking any zones outside the work area or elements that may cause disturbance. The Iridio Studio software will be available for free download from the Pizzato website.
