Oriental Motor Boosts Throughput with Omnidirectional Motion: Introducing Full 360° Type SCARA Robots
Oriental Motor USA is pleased to announce the launch of two new SCARA robots within the OVR Small Robots lineup—now featuring a Full 360° range of motion for enhanced flexibility, speed, and load capacity. The updated models are designed to optimize point-to-point movements and reduce takt time in automation systems.
These Full 360° Type Robots feature a flatter design, with an overall height of only 205 mm. The secondary arm that's linked to the end of the primary arm is only 63 mm thick, so it can reach and grab parts in narrow spaces that other SCARA robots may not be able to access

All motion axes, or arm joints, feature our αSTEP Hybrid Step-Servo motors and actuators for battery-free, sensor-free absolute position control, improving reliability and making the design more compact.
Another benefit that makes OVR Series SCARA robots unique is that they can be self-maintained by the customer. This reduces the maintenance burden (cost and time) after installation.
Oriental Motor's 3-Axis SCARA Robots combined with our MRC robot controllers and MRC Studio Software allow for simple control and performance in a complete robot solution. Our MRCU Integrated Robot Controllers include the robot controller and all required drivers for each robot axis. Together with the easy-to-use MRC Studio programming software, we provide an easy, convenient, all-in-one solution for controlling OVR Series small industrial robots.
