Soft Robotics’ mGripAI uses pre-trained object models to segment product from bulk and calculate in real time the best way to pick a product based on orientation, pick location, and collision scoring. The circles shown on the image above denote the location of the gripper when picking the chicken drumstick based on all these calculations.
Shown here is a bulk pile of raw chicken overlapping and touching. A segmentation mask of colors has been applied allowing the operator (human eye) to see how precisely mGripAI identifies and segments each piece of chicken in this pile.
Shown here is a compilation of the different filters to assist the operator with troubleshooting or system optimization: Left: Segmentation Mask - identifies individual pieces of chicken and provides a confidence interval for each piece. Upper right: Grasp Selection - provides a visual of how the robot will orient the gripper when picking each piece. Lower Right: RBG (Standard/Unfiltered) - shows the raw unfiltered camera view
