The series was designed to provide solutions to widely known, yet accepted industrial automation problems. The products can be split into two main categories: firstly the portable toolkit ballbar-based products, which are designed to be utilized in-field for robot diagnostics. The ‘toolkit’ products comprise RCS L-90, a single ballbar kit used to improve robot accuracy, increase deployment speed and monitor robot health. The RCS T-90 tri-ballbar system, expands capability providing advanced diagnostics, providing an understanding of the root cause of poor robot performance and joint re-mastering capacity. These products are powered by a robotic software suite which guides the user step-by-step through tests. Secondly, RCS P-series, offering robot-mounted probing simplifying part and tool alignment within a robot cell, enabling calibration of end of arm tooling within 6 degrees of freedom. New for 2024 is the RCS P-series recovery kit which enables operators to reduce automation downtime by quickly running a simple routine to automatically recover tool and part frames with their cell. Renishaw also provides a wide range of high-quality, reliable encoders that offer precise feedback, even in extreme conditions. Their compact and lightweight construction supports flexible system designs and seamless integration into a variety of robot types, where accuracy, repeatability, and control are critical requirements.
